Introduction

Sunspot Loops in UV

Presented is a compilation of stellar nuclear reaction rates for light, intermediate mass, and heavy nuclei used in calculations of stellar nucleosynthesis. These are intended to replace the reaction rate compilation developed by R. Hoffman and S. Woosley (version 92.1, 1992). For a brief discussion of the nuclear data needs for astrophysics and their impact on nucleosynthesis and stellar structure in massive stars, see Hoffman et al. 2002.

This compilation represents our choice of so called "standard" reaction rates used in our latest calculations of nucleosynthesis in massive stars (Rauscher, Heger, Hoffman, & Woosley 2002, ApJ in press). In future releases of this compilation, we will provide references to other sources of information.

Outline

The main page provides links to stellar reaction rate data for strong, electromagnetic, and weak interactions on 4,673 nuclei from H-Bi (a plot of the size of our new network is provided here). Neutrino intereaction rates are also included, as well as a table of solar abundances. Also provided is a complete bibliography for each reaction rate tabulated.
