For the strong and electromagnetic reaction rate section, the
Binary Reaction Rate Reference Matrices and the
Author Acronym Reference Table provide a
complete bibliography coded to the principal authors
responsible for each
binary reaction rate given in these tables. For reactions involving
H, D, T, He3, and multi-body reactions, see the
light reactions page.
A Binary Reaction Rate Reference Matrix is provided for each element.
Each one provides a list of all the isotopes for which reaction rate data
is tabulated for the binary reaction channels (n,g), (p,n), (p,g), (a,p), (a,n), and (a,g),
as well as possible channels for weak decay (beta decay (b-),
the sum of positron decay and electron capture (b+ec), and alpha-decay (ad)).
Note: for a given nucleus (Z,A), an entry for beta decay (b-) or
alpha decay (ad) indicates decay OUT OF the (parent) nucleus.
An entry indicating positron decay or electron capture (b+ec) indicates
decay INTO the (daughter) nucleus.
Entries in the matrix for strong and electromagnetic reactions that are
CAPITALIZED indicate reaction rates based on
experimental cross section measurements (either in whole or for a theoretical
rate that is normalized to experimental data).
All others are based on Hauser-Feshbach theoretical calculations.
Capitalized entries for weak reactions indicate rates derived from laboratory
half lives, the others are based on theory.
Blank entries indicate that no reaction rate is available for the channel indicated.
