Pravesh K. Patel is a physicist in the Radiative Properties group in V-Division. He received his B.A. in Physics from St. John’s College, Oxford University in 1994, and his D.Phil from the Clarendon Laboratory, Oxford University in 1998, where he studied radiation transport in laser-produced plasmas. Since joining LLNL his research has focused on experimental physics using ultrashort-pulse high intensity lasers, in particular developing new techniques to create and probe high energy density matter. Pravesh has performed much of this work on Livermore’s 10 Joule, 100 Terawatt Callisto laser, and the 400 J, 500 TW Titan laser.
