Stephanie Hansen is a staff physicist in the Theory and Modeling group. She joined the laboratory in 2004 after receiving her PhD from the University of Nevada, Reno. Her thesis work focused on modeling x-ray spectra for plasma diagnostics, and she continues to develop atomic kinetics models and use them to aid in the design and interpretation of a variety of experiments. Her other research interests include modeling the equation of state and transport properties of high energy density plasmas and warm dense matter.
