Stewart, a graduate student at UC Berkeley under mineral physicist Raymond Jeanloz, is working with LLNL in the EOS group to study the physical properties of planetary materials at extreme pressures and temperatures using laser-driven shock compression. Stewart was an undergraduate at the University Of Massachusetts.
